The Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification demonstrates the knowledge and skills required to perform professional water damage restoration, including understanding water damage, its effects on building materials and structures, and proper techniques for structural drying. The WRT certification covers procedures for responding to water losses, sewer backups, water extraction, structural drying, and contamination, including situations involving mold. Upon achieving the certification, technicians demonstrate their understanding of industry-recognized water damage restoration procedures, drying techniques, moisture management, and remediation practices needed to safely and effectively restore water-damaged properties.
